The purpose of this guide is to assist Hypnotists that rent space in our center and is supplemental to the contract for office rental.
Office Use
You are entitled to use the office space you have rented according to the rental agreement. Any switching or changing of days or times requires prior approval.
Office Storage
You will be given a file cabinet to store your client files in. It must remain locked when not in the office. You will also be given an open storage container to store other items. This storage container is not locked, so do not store anything of value in it.
Office Security
The office door must be closed and locked anytime you are not in the office. For example, if you use the restroom the door must be shut and locked.
Waiting Area
The waiting area in room #403 will be open most times, but not always. Advise your clients to meet you in #403.
Phone
Do not answer the office phone unless you have been instructed and cleared on how to properly answer it. At this time there is not an office phone in the rental office. Please communicate with your clients via your own phone.
Clients will often call our center even if they’ve been referred to you. In this case, we will relay the information to you as soon as we get it.
Our Address
Our official business address is: 403 E Holly St. Suite 403, Bellingham, WA 98225. We are on the corner of Holly and Cornwall.
Parking
Street Parking is available at $.75 / hour and now enables clients to pay by phone. There’s also a garage on the corner of Commercial and Holly, the first floor is public parking and clients can pay via credit card.
Daily Guidelines
These guidelines are reiterated from the rental contract, and provided here for simplicity. Theyare the guidelines that should be followed daily.
- Tennent must arrive at least 15 minutes before session.
- Tennent must dress professionally and appropriately at all times.
- Every session must be video recorded. See the section on how to use the recorder for details.
- Tennent may perform only hypnotherapy sessions with 5-PATH being the primary modality of hypnotherapy. There is absolutely to be no reiki or massage.
- Tennent must treat clients in a professional manner at all times.
- Anything other than the utmost professionalism is grounds for cancelling of the rental contract.
- When in doubt, put your clients’ needs first.
- Cleaning materials are provided and must be used regularly.
- Wipe down the desk and chair once per day.
- Dust other areas as appropriate.
- Our cleaning staff vacuums and takes out the trash, but does not dust nor clean the tables. This is your responsibility.
- Take any food related trash to the bathroom so it does not leave an odor in the office.
- Tenants are not allowed to wear perfume, cologne, or any type of fragrance. Many of our clients are highly sensitive to smell.
- Submit in email to Erika any items that need attention in the office.
Recording Sessions
Step 1: Prepare dvd for recording. Place the blank dvd in the recorder, and follow prompts to prepare for recording.
Step 2: Before your client arrives, begin the recording.
Step 3: When moving from desk to hypnosis chair, press the button on the switch to change video to the hypnosis chair.
Step 4: When the session is over, end the recording and follow prompts to finalize the dvd.
Step 5: Write your name and date, and an indicator for the client, for example first initial and last name. Place the dvd in your locked cabinet.
Monthly Check-in
Tennent will have a monthly check-in with Erika. This is required to ensure the best service is provided to our clients and is provided as a perk – a mentoring session for free. Your relationship with CHC is intended to be a win-win – business growth and mentorship for you, and helping CHC support the community with excellent hypnotherapy services plus support during training courses (see Expectation to help during training courses below). During the check-in you will be asked to submit a recording of a recent session for review and improvement.
Leave your personal issues at the door
This is critical – do not bring your own personal issues into session. This cannot be stressed highly enough. Doing so will negatively impact session with clients and is absolutely not allowed. To ensure this does not happen, practice 7th Path daily, and if you have any issues accomplishing this, contact Erika.
Submit inquires and questions in writing
All communication regarding rental, clients, sessions, working in the office must be submitted in writing via email to erika@CascadeHypnosisCenter.com. Phone is too difficult to keep track of, and written communication provides an easy trail of documentation.
Lost or forgotten keys
There are no good solutions to this issue. The building management will not let you in if you forget your key, and the other hypnotists that work at the office will likely not be able to let you in either. For this reason, it is your responsibility to ensure you always have your own key with you.
Ongoing education and business growth
It is the intention of our relationship that you will continue to grow as a hypnotist. For this reason, you are expected to teach at least one class per quarter, write one blog article per quarter, and be available to provide one video per quarter. These elements are all for your own business growth. This means once per month you should be teaching a class, writing, or creating a video.
Expectation to help during training classes
As part of the CHC team you are invited and expected to help during the quarterly 2-week Hypnotherapy Training sessions.
Referrals
You will be offered referrals as they come in. Please respond to referral requests immediately indicating if you are interested in taking the referral or not, then follow up with client as soon as possible.
Clients must be contacted in less than 24 hours.
Ipad for Hypnosis Pre-talk
There is an ipad for you to show clients Cal Banyan’s “The Truth About Hypnosis” pre-talk. You are not required to show this video. Also on the ipad are: “The Secret Language of Feelings,” “Weight Loss,” and “The Secret Language of Feelings Other.”
The code for the ipad is 1214. You are required to ensure the ipad is always in kiosk mode when given to clients so they are ‘locked’ into the video only.
Wireless
The wireless network is : CHC
The wireless password is : hypn0sis
Never give clients access to the wireless network for any reason.
Printer
You can use the printer sparingly. If you need to use it to print client paperwork or forms, you’ll be asked to help cover the cost of ink and paper.
